I have been teaching drumset since 2004 and piano since 2012. I have taught at Mom's Music in Louisville, Kentucky and Ohio State University. I teach students from all ages and backgrounds and teach drumset at any level and piano from beginner level to intermediate. I performed in the school choir throughout my education and I also performed in my high school's concert band. I am a positive piano teacher and good with both children and adults. I use positive reinforcement that I learned from working with people with disabilities. I studied piano, theory and composition in college for three years and have studied with performing artists afterwards. I have worked with other professionals to compose a ballet and enjoy working with young people. Typically with beginner students I work through the Alfred's Piano series (Adult and Children) and we focus on performance, technique, ergonomics, theory, and ear training. If a student wishes to work on composition or music production, after a proper foundation, we can explore that as well. I first started teaching guitar in high school after i got a few lessons from someone i looked up to in high school. From then on i have loved to teach music to all ages!.
