In order to communicate musical ideas most effectively, I feel it is equally as essential to develop the students ear as well as their reading abilities.Each student will receive a personally customized work packet that includes sheet music, worksheets, and possibly audio/video samples. From 2020 - present, every summer I have been teaching at the Hilton Head Jazz Camp. This jazz camp is a week-long intensive learning experience. Jazz musicians from all over the U.S. come to teach at the camp and help the students learn about jazz. In this camp I had the responsibility of teaching theory, improvisation, sight reading, and musicality with playing. However, every student I have had is with good rapport with me, because I respect all of them, no matter how young they are.
