I began my musical journey since before grade school, learning piano and other percussive instruments. I immediately took a strong liking towards music and followed it through all my years in school, learning brass instruments and refining my practices along the way. in 2018, I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Performance. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Alfred's Basic Piano Library or Piano Adventures Faber method. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. This could include jazz, classical or pop music. For beginning students, I tend to use the Faber Primer level course which includes a lesson book, theory book, performance book, and technique book. This set, along with supplemental material will provide your student with the backbone in music education they need to perform well in any direction they wish to take their private piano studies. For older beginning students, I enjoy using the Alfred adult piano series.
