Arias is both an avid performer and educator of the trumpet and piano. She is currently a member of the Brass Band of Appalachia based out of Bristol, VA and an active freelance musician in the Pittsburgh area. She recently performed at the William Adam International Trumpet Festival; the International Trumpet Guild Conference; and was featured as a soloist with the Appalachian State University Concert Band. In 2011, I graduated from Baldwin Wallace University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Clarinet Performance and just this past May I graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Masters degree in Music. I have students performing in PMEA district band, honors bands, HS marching bands and community bands. I work with clarinet and saxophone students of all levels, and beginner piano students. Chinese pianist, Xuelai W., recently relocated to Pittsburgh from Phoenix. She is a sought-after collaborative pianist, chamber musician, vocal coach, and church musician. Her passion and experience for both instrumental and vocal collaboration have led her to share the stage with renown artists and young talented musicians. Before she moved to Pittsburgh, she was the pianist for Arizona Opera, where she has given close to 200 performances and presentations with the outreach program, introducing opera to the younger generation and communities in the Greater Phoenix area. I have experience teaching music all over the world. I have travelled to Canada, Russia, and Swaziland to work with children. I have taught guitar, voice, and general music lessons to those children.
