I would approach teaching by making sure the student is comfortable with whatever i am showing them, and trying to adapt to whatever style makes them comfortable if necessary. Setting goals for the end of each lesson is important based on their skill level and how quickly they pick up the information. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with teaching basic music theory, scales, and start with John Thompson's Easiest Piano Course for the piano students. For Cello beginning students, it's very important to have a correct playing position. Therefore, we will spend some time on knowing cello, position for both hands, and then we will start with Suzuki. I'm a passionate instructor whose goal is to empower students through music. In May 2018, I graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Cello Performance. At BU, I had the opportunity to perform as assistant concertmaster with the University Orchestra, and performed in master classes for Boston Symphony Orchestra members. I also spent a semester studying music in London, at the renowned Royal College of Music.
