Instruments: Piano
I started teaching my son since he was 5 years old and have helped him win several piano competitions throughout his teenage years. For the past ten years or so, I have been teaching at private music schools, community music schools and my home studio. With every new student, I begin the first lesson by understanding their past experiences of leaning music, what interests them the most in music and what they expect to achieve through my lessons. I have been teaching privately for the past 15 years and I have had students of all ages and levels. I strongly encourage young children to have good and constant practice habits as this not only helps to succeed in the pieces they are working on, but it makes music learning all the more enjoyable! I do focus mostly on a classical and traditional approach of teaching but I am always open to working on specific music a student may want to learn as well. Read More

I believe, that learning music should be enjoyable, rather than stressful. I focuses not just on reading music and playing the notes, but also aural theory, playing without tension both mentally and physically, and understanding the music on an artistic and personal level. Read More

It is important to understand that every student, or every human being is different in terms of playing and progressing. As a teacher, it is my job to learn the uniqueness of every student and help them to find a way to play their best. It is also important to help the student like the instrument. Once they do, they will develop enough motivation to make the instrument sound good. Read More
Instruments: Trumpet
I think it is important for a musician to have a healthy balance of technical practice and fun practice. Therefore a student will always be encouraged to keep up on their technique routines and scales, but also to make music THEY find rewarding in every practice session. Of course, the technique is necessary to play this music well, but the love for music they develop is necessary for them to want to pick up their instrument and play in the first place. Read More

I am first and foremost a student. I love being a student and love being open to new forms of music and anything to better my education. In May of 2017 I graduated from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee with a Bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance. Performance has taught me multiple languages, taken me around the U.S. and parts of Europe, working with the top musicians in the world. Since graduation I have been working on my own artistry and getting back to my roots as a singer song writer. Read More
Instruments: Cello
As I am certified in Suzuki Book 1, I start students with Suzuki books and methods, while also supplementing with other materials and incorporating any extra music/activities a student might be excited about! With students who have already started, I will often still refer to the Suzuki materials, but I will pull more from other books and repertoire. I am very flexible in strategy and method based on where the student is at and where they want to go, no matter their age. Read More
