I taught at the Boston Conservatory extension program when it existed. I went to japan and saw Suzuki as part of my training for teaching the Suzuki method. I belong to ASTA and SAA , SMS and AFM I've had students playing in the suzuki festivals. Students I've taught are now having excellent careers as professional musicians. My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 3 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in my home studio for the last 1 year. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with a modified Suzuki method, starting with rote learning and eventually progressing to notated music. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. Read More

I began learning violin when I was 10 years old through school as well as receiving private lessons. I played first violin in my school orchestra until I graduated in 2014. I also began learning guitar and ukulele when I was 12 through professional lessons as well. Since 2014, I have had experience teaching both groups and private sessions, teaching in-home/studio/online, and have worked with people of various ages and backgrounds. I performed with guest entertainers, in Jazz sets and in Production shows in over 24 countries.
