My experience in teaching has been consistent and rewarding. I started giving viola lessons as a junior in high school. In college, I took pedagogy classes where I had the opportunity to teach students through the Boston Youth Symphony Intensive Community Program. In June 2022, I earned my Teacher Training certification through the Suzuki Association of the Americas, which makes me qualified to teach the Suzuki Method. For beginning students who are children, I usually would like to encourage them starts to play with little simple songs, likes many of songs they already can singing with. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. Read More
