I'm a musician, a music educator, and music researcher. I enjoy teaching and sharing my passion for music with students of all ages. I received my Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Furman University in Greenville, SC and received my Master of Music in Music Education from Boston University in Boston, MA. I'm a certified music educator in the state of South Carolina and Massachusetts. I am not Suzuki-certified, however my teaching style does include a mix of Suzuki and independent materials. I like to teach music theory skills concurrently with technical lessons so that students can reinforce their practical training. Sharing my knowledge with my students and seeing them achieve something they worked hard for, and being part of the process is one of the biggest joys in teaching for me. I always aim to help my students produce a beautiful tone, while making sure they are not doing wrong physical movements that would make things difficult.
