The focus of my studio is as follows: breath support vocal health and safety tonation style For beginning students who are children, I start with basic songs that can build upon the fundamentals listed above. I begin to introduce solo repertore when appropriate but I do not rush this process. As a musician and teacher, I primarily view music as one means of artistic self-expression. In my students journey of self-expression, I will help them to learn music history, music theory, and different musical cultures which can influence their perspective on the world around them, as well as how they see themselves. Through music I teach self-discipline, patience, and good practice methods while learning the flute.
