My teaching methods are very straightforward. We spend a lesson working through one or two songs. These songs can be provided by the student or by myself. After running through the songs we examine the tools that would be best used to improve the sound and performance of the songs. I am a passionate and fun loving instructor who adores bonding with students over a shared love of the cello. I have spent the past decade performing solo and in ensembles, and studying under the tutelage of many great professors. I am currently studying under Dr. Theodore Buccholz at the University of Arizona, where I am pursuing degrees in cello and neuroscience. I have been continuously employed as a professional trumpet player since the age of 15. Currently, I hold positions as principal trumpet with the state philharmonic orchestra of Sonora, Mexico; second trumpet with the Sierra Vista Symphony; third trumpet with the Tucson Pops Orchestra, substitute/extra with the Phoenix Symphony and Tucson Symphony Orchestra. My teachers have included principal trumpeters of the Cleveland Orchestra and Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
