With my students, I try to build vocal technique and performance skill at a pace that is appropriate for each student and introducing challenging skills only at a gradual pace. During the years right after my university graduation I taught 1 or 2 students in my home, as well as teaching music to my own children from the beginner to the intermediate level. My diverse musical upbringing included piano, guitar, bass, singing, and recording in any style I could think of. I went on to play bass guitar at a professional level in bar bands and on cruise ships, and piano and organ at a professional level in churches. I've studied the drums voraciously for the past decade, playing rock and jazz with musically adventurous friends and colleagues.
