In 2004 I graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in church music. Playing for and working with music in churches has been one of the highlights of the past 14 years. I pubished a CD of hymns entitled Eternal Days, where I arranged hymns for solo piano and piano and flute in 2017. Now, I continue to arrange hymns for my church and students, reflecting their current needs and levels. Learning happens most meaningfully and rapidly (not to mention is sustained) when students connect with their teacher, and that most easily occurs when teachers are in tune with their students' interests and goals. Since then, I have been consistently teaching students in local studios and in their homes for the last 5.5 years. Arias maintains a roster of trumpet and piano students through both her personal studio and the Monroeville Music Lesson Center. She serves as the trumpet coach for the Pittsburgh Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, and is the trumpet instructor for the Norwin High School Marching Band. During her graduate studies, she served as the Graduate Teaching Assistant to Dr. James Stokes at the Hayes School of Music at Appalachian State University and was previously the trumpet teacher for George Rogers Clarke High School in Winchester, KY; a counselor for the Morehead State University Summer Arts Academy; and an instructor for the West Union Performing Arts Camp.
