This is much more feasible in individual lessons as opposed to the more structured and scheduled group classes I teach. This is the most difficult part of drumming. If I can teach a student this, then I can teach them anything. The advanced that can already hold a steady beat, I like to develop runs and fills on the drums. I can take them into a deeper understanding of how fills can take a song to the next level.
