I had always had a knack for passing on bits of wisdom to bandmates and friends that were interested in picking up a bit of drums, but it wasn't until spring of 2024 that I decided to take the leap, and got a job teaching drum lessons at my local Guitar Center. My teaching style involves stressing feel, timing, and confidence over note-for-note accuracy. I began teaching when I was halfway through college. I began teaching private students as well as drumlines at local high schools. I focus heavily on technique and self-expression in order to make music making as engaging and as fun as possible! I also incorporate real life scenarios into my lessons in order to better prepare my students for what they might encounter in live musical situations.
