The methods that shape my teaching are diverse, but at the core is the Dalcroze approach, which transforms music theory into a lived, physical, and intuitive experience. I begin with practical exploration and adapt each lesson to the individual needs, interests, and learning style of every student. By connecting movement, listening, and creativity, this approach keeps students motivated, engaged, and excited about learning. My goal is to help them develop not only skill, but a genuine and lasting love for music. Read More

Everything is set in accordance with the student's needs, aspirations and interests. I will help to create realistic goals and schedules, but at the end the student is the boss. Nothing is imposed, nothing is reached if the student did not ask for it. That way I make sure that progress is organic and the student will have a better understanding of why things are done in certain ways when they keep getting better. Read More
Instruments: Violin Viola
My teaching experience begins in high school where I was appointed to be an orchestra assistant. There, I began offering before and after school private lessons with violinists and violists. Since then, I have graduated and am now attending UNF and assisting the Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestra. I currently have two students who participate in the youth orchestra and I adore it. We make music and have fun simultaneously, that is my job. Read More
Instruments: Trumpet

I started playing trumpet in middle school around the age of 11, and I've been playing trumpet for about 11 years. I played for 3 years in my high school's marching band, winning state championship's one year, and 3rd the other years. I've played in jazz bands, concert bands, and I've participated in MPA. Instruments: Piano Voice Keyboard
I am more specialized in the classical genre but I venture into to other genres based off the wants and needs of the student. Some of my students enjoy improvisation or composition/song writing or pop/Disney songs over classical. Other students prefer the classical method strictly. I try to be as flexible as possible for my students and everything is done step by step from on a basis of principles and fundamentals. Read More

For beginning students, I would suggest that a practice log be kept in terms of how long they practice each day along with an outline of which exercises or pieces should be done for that amount of time. I suggest students take breaks, even every 5-10 minutes as it relaxes the fingers and the mind and helps minimize frustration or boredom. With these younger students, a certain amount of practice could merit a prize (i.e. iTunes gift card). Read More
