I encourage students to focus on what things feel like, and describe them, so that we can focus on what is working well! I try to introduce my students to different styles and genres of music. Their repertoire ranges from dances and songs to variations, concertos and sonatas. In order to be able to play such an array of genres, one requires what I like to call a "laboratory of skills". Scales, exercises and studies,played at the beginning of every lesson,are a way to develop the said "laboratory".While working with little kids I try to combine traditional and Suzuki methods.In order to insure that my lessons are both educational and entertaining I make my little students move,dance,clap and sing. Music making and teaching has been my passion since I was young. In 2020, I graduated from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor with a Bachelor of Music in Choral Music Education. As a child, I participated in choir for 8 years and was in the University of Michigan's University Choir and Orpheus Singers. I began taking private voice lessons at a late age (17 years old) and became a professional musician, so I know that it is possible to be successful even when starting later in life! Read More

My biggest goal is not just for my students to grow and progress but also to have fun! We sing because we love it, and it gives us joy to do it and share it with others. I have been a band director for thirteen years and have much experience starting students on all instruments.
