After i access what approaches work best based on their ability level, I design a systematic practice routine based on Technique, Vocabulary, Independence, Coordination, and Musicality. I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music and providing the best music education. I graduated with a BS in Music Ed and enrolled in many piano pedagogy classes. I have taught music education in Harford and Baltimore County Schools and taught band and orchestral instruments. M performances have included concertos, 4 hand music and chamber music. Once the student has a understanding of rhythmic note values, I generally start with Alfred's Drum Method Book One or Elementary Drum Method by Roy Burns. I also start working snare drum rudiments and focus on issues like grip and wrist stroke to ensure correct technique. Having grown up in a large family, I love working with children and relate well to all ages.
