I began teaching private lessons four years ago in various genres such as jazz, pop, musical theater, and classical - with a bit of music theory for those who have expressed interest. Students of mine have participated in recitals and have written their own compositions. I am passionate about music and passionate about teaching music, especially the drums!  I recently received my Masters Degree from Manhattanville College and I hold a B.A music degree from Purchase College.  I have performed from Canada to the West Indies and all over the US and of course I can be seen regularly here in NYC. My teaching approach balances a strong articulate musical foundation with experimentation, taking the time to build each student's confidence and ability at their own pace. I like to teach a combination of basics (notation, scales, rudiments, technique), songwriting and more esoteric musical concepts like tambour, groove and feel.
