Instruments: Drums
I have taught the drums in a variety of settings for 15 years. In Australia I worked for the South Australian Government in the Instrumental Music Service for 3 years. I provided group drum lessons to students ranging from elementary to senior high school age with a total of 40 lessons each week, at 10 different schools to over 100 students! While in this role, I also coordinated ensembles and concert bands and also established a music program at a juvenile detention centre. Read More
Instruments: Guitar Electric Guitar Acoustic Guitar
I've had students ranging from 12 years to 50+. All of them have been the same. They all need specific individual teaching instruction with someone who can discern their needs and learning speed. I've taken many lessons with many different instructors in my beginnings of playing guitar. Each teacher found different areas in which I was lacking practice. I have learned from my mistakes and now use them to my advantage by knowing what to look for in my students. Read More
Instruments: Piano
I'm a kind and dedicated instructor who enjoys working with all types of students and sharing the gift of music. In 2004, I graduated from Biola University with a minor in music. I studied under Manami Kawamura, an accomplished and amazing pianist. I have since continued my studies in music and have played at church and other venues. My students are what inspire me and fuel my musical endeavors. Read More
Instruments: Piano Cello Keyboard
I started teaching piano to both children and adults in high school. One of them was 5 years old, the other was 6, and another was 13 years old. I've also taught a 19-year-old for a short period of time. For the two kids who were 5 and 6, they were total beginners at piano and did not know anything about piano so my main focus was to introduce them to this instrument and teach them the basics of music theories, scores, and postures. Instruments: Drums Orchestral Percussion Latin Percussion
I want my students to teach me as much as I teach them. In the fall of 2014, I founded a drumming program with Family Quarters, Inc. that teaches group percussion classes to Autistic adults. Also during the fall of 2014, I conducted a semester of group percussion classes to elementary school students at Buker Elementary School in Hamilton, MA. I taught privately for over 2 years at The Drum Shop North Shore. Read More
Instruments: Piano Voice Organ
The best part of teaching for me is seeing students transform from unsure beginners to confident musicians with enthusiasm and passion for their own chosen taste in music. I know students can drive the lessons with their choices, so I let them select music that will keep them coming back for more challenges. Even still, I want them to have the exposure to diverse training and music styles to expand their own style. Read More
Instruments: Bass Guitar Double Bass
I am very passionate about teaching and have always felt that it comes naturally to me. It’s not something that I treat as just a job. Whenever I see one of my students make progress or get inspired, I progress and become inspired as well. I have been teaching private lessons for about 8 years now and have experience teaching dozens of students from all different ages both male and female. Read More
