My teaching experience started in Music Collage,where teaching of school age students was part of curriculum .After graduation from Kiev Conservatory I taught individual violin and viola lessons at Kiev Music School #10 for Gifted Children. Shortly after immigrating to the United States I joined the teaching staff of the Notre Dame School of Music,where I served as a violin teacher for 5 years. When in 2005 the school was closed,I decided to continue teaching and created my private studio, where I have been teaching students of all ages and levels to play violin,viola and piano. Read More

I'm a passionate soprano currently studying at The College of Musical Arts at Bowling Green State University. I graduated with my bachelors degree from Aurora University in May of 2015, and I just completed the first year of my masters degree. I am actively performing in the university's Opera Theatre productions and also was a member of The University Choral Society this past year. I am a newly graduated musician who is eager and motivated to pass on my knowledge and experience to others! My experience with music has extended back 17 years, beginning at the age of six. For the first twelve years, I was mentored under the tutelage of Janet Houston. I also have a combined 14 years of orchestral performance experience, beginning with the Dearborn Youth Symphony which lasted ten years. When I was growing up and learning trombone I found myself removing the emotional parts of creating beautiful music from the instrument and found making music to be a boring part of my day. I believe in the "one thing" lesson. If a student can improve on just one thing in a lesson than that lesson was successful. My past students would probably say I am overall a nice guy but incredibly picky when it comes to perfecting a piece and hold each of my students to a very high standard. I try to give immediate and concrete feedback at all times and my students know to ask for clarification if they need to. Read More

I also studied symphonic band, musical theater, and jazz throughout high school while learning improvisational skills as a church pianist. I've had the opportunity to play with other musicians in band and studio settings; my particular favorite project was with a violinist who had performed in Carnegie Hall. At this point in my life, I play for wedding ceremonies and a local church, while working towards obtaining my Bachelor of Arts with the Berklee College of Music for Composition and Orchestration for Film and Television. I emphasize, above all, practice. If a student doesn't practice daily, then they aren't going to improve at their full potentail rate. I would never "push" a student, but I do encourage students to strive for their best. I know when I need to adapt the situation to fit a student's specific needs. If a student isn't getting something, I know exactly how to back up, break it down, and explain it in a way that they will understand. Read More
