I started teaching while in college, beginning in 1987 and gradually progressed to teaching as a career in 1994. I have taught at the collegiate level at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. I have also taught award-winning drumlines at Calvert Hall College, Lansdowne High School and Dulaney High School, all in the Baltimore metropolitan area. I am an enthusiastic young teacher who takes great pride in watching my students achieve their musical goals. I have been playing music since I was a child, with 15 years experience on the bass guitar alone. I have been touring regionally and nationally with my main project, Electric Love Machine, since 2014 and recently won the 2016 Maryland Music Award for Best Electronic Artist. My passion is performing and teaching drums. Ever since I picked up a pair of drumsticks for the first time two decades ago, I knew from then on I wanted to make teaching and performing my career.
