Pianist Jinsun Y. was born in South Korea and began piano studies at the age of 7. She majored in piano at Yewon School and Seoul Arts High School, and she received her bachelors degree from Yonsei University in Seoul in 2002. She moved to the United States to continue her studies at the New England Conservatory (NEC) with scholarship, where she studied with Alexander Korsantia.
