I use many books to start students and usually spend most of the lesson in the Arban's Complete Conservatory Method for Trumpet (Cornet). I like students to study classic trumpet solo's literature. I have taught mostly for friends in the past. I started playing in early age, but didn't start teaching until some high school friends wanted to learn a few things. I really enjoyed helping them break down a problem, I always had a very systems-approach. Recently, I had a female student that was learning pieces for her school's talent show.
