First lesson I start by assessing what level the student is at and what goals they have with their music and develop a lesson plan from there. I focus first on fundamentals of sound and technique to build a foundation for the student then work on scales and repertoire to get them playing music. From there it is a focus on musicality and performance. My mother and father sacrificed a lot for their children to have music lessons as they are quite expensive for the lower middle class family But they believed it was worth it as music lessons boost brain power and help with the development of fine motor skills and mathematics, even speech. For the begining for those students that they don't know music i teach them the basic, for example i start with the rhythm and after the fundamentals. They are going to learn how to read simple notes. Once they have a grasp of the fundamentals they are ready to be introduce into the piano.  I was taught piano lessons at age 9 but lost contact with the teacher after a couple of years because we moved. From middle school on I joined the school band and stuck with it until the end of high school. Sometime in high school I picked up the piano again and have been playing it ever since. At IADT I took some keyboarding classes and I really enjoyed the experience; it made me play the piano like never before and inspired me to want to teach the instrument myself. Read More

Within couple months my little musicians are ready for their first recital. I have two degrees, a Bachelor's in Music Performance from Appalachian State University (2021) and a Master's in Music Performance from the University of South Florida (2023).
