I am a certified orchestra adjudicator for the Florida Orchestra Association and has adjudicated orchestra festivals throughout the state of Florida including serving as the conductor for the Broward All County Silver Honors Orchestra in 2018. I usually start with a beginners book for children or adults.  We go through the lessons at their own speed.  As for practicing the scales, I do not introduce them until the students is thoroughly familiar with the keys (the alphabet of the keys.)  For adults I introduce the scales and arpeggios much earlier. I work with the students at their own speed. They like my style of teaching. Lessons with me do not seem like a chore because I am a teacher who does not get upset with the students . Read More
