In piano I learned the Russian method and do teach it but I also teach the popular and Jazz method of fake book reading. My teaching experience started after college I began teaching with public schools in 2006 and teaching independently in 2009 all ages. I love all genres of music and I motivate and encourage my students to explore music in that way. I love to have fun with teaching and competition so I encourage students who are interested in a performing career to perform live in talents shows , community events, family parties and gatherings so that they are able to have the experience amongst there peers and family. For beginning students, we work on breathing and different warm up techniques. Once the student has progressed we will then start solo repertories for different genres. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing my students develop a passion for music, and seeing their confidence grow as they progress. Therefore, it is important that each student learns at his or her own pace. There is no need to over-exhaust them with tasks but I do encourage individual growth and development by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments big or small helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students more eager to learn. Read More

When I moved to Boston to finish college, I did not have the time to volunteer formally at any institution, but as a part of my curriculum, I visited several public schools, observed and evaluated the teacher's methods.
