I am a singer/songwriter who enjoys the process of creating a song from start to finish. I also am a studio singer and love the experience of being in the studio recording my own original music. I graduated in 2009 with a contemporary music degree that provided a well-rounded musical education. My favorite part of my educational experience was the time I spent at the Contemporary Music Center at Martha's Vineyard for a special off-campus artist program. Read More

I am a dedicated saxophone teacher in the Indy area that is always looking for new students. I grew up in the greenfield area and went to New Palestine High School where I was inspired by my band director to pursue the world of music. My goal with any student is to see them succeed like I did in the world of saxophone. I am always about creating opportunities for students to grow as a player. Read More

I like to see where each student's natural talents and personal desires are headed and act as a servant leader to get them there. Students are encouraged to pursue music in the way that will keep them engaged reaping maximum benefits whether that be to build parts of their brain that would have otherwise lie dormant, or become the best solo performer they can be. Acknowledging and celebrating even the smallest wins is what brings the most joy in my tutoring sessions. Read More

As a teacher, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing a student develop a passion for music. If my students do not leave every lesson feeling inspired, encouraged, and wanting to practice and play music, then I am not doing my job. Just as I tailor each lesson to match the individual student, expect the student to grow and develop as a musician at his/her own pace. Ultimately, music is universally accessible and I want to foster a love and appreciation for listening to music as well as performing music. Read More

Piano - there are as many method books as there are different kinds of pianos! I use, but am not limited to, the following: Faber, Noona, Wunderkeys, Pianotown, Alfred, Helen Mier, Snell, and more. I like to start any student that comes to me with what they already have. For a young student - I will start with Faber as it is the easiest to understand for younger players. Other than that - I gear the lessons to each individual student. Read More

I start with a few different books depending on the student's interest. I try to encourage younger students to learn to read music. I have often used the Hal Leornard Guitar Method. Often adult students want to focus more on learning chords and how to play a few songs. Sometimes I use the Hal Learnard Tab Method or my own 16 page beginner's guitar book. Read More
