After college I started my first teaching job in Maryland, teaching beginner piano, choir, and musical theatre. I am classically trained, so my teaching methods are in line with the classical method. For all beginner students, we work on breath control and tone to start before concentrating on song repertoire. Once the student is comfortable and producing good sound, we then start to look at material suited the student's voice. I am passionate and motivated when it comes to teaching my students because music is a powerful form of self expression and creativity that could help an individual succeed in all aspects of life. The confidence one develops with self expression carries over into all aspects of life. I graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a Bachelor degree in communication.
