I was a part of a directed teaching program at Cedarville University where my teaching was observed by peers and professors. I spent a year teaching general music to childern in Italy as well as private piano lessons. I also have experience teaching group classes and entering students in recitals and competitions. Once the student has progressed and has managed to grasp fundamentals, we can proceed to the next volumes within the same series. For adults, I typically do my best to see what they are interested, and will guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons intriguing. I began teaching lessons in Texas in 2012 and have been since. My first major success as a teacher came in 2015 when I had a trumpet student of mine make the Texas ATSSB All-State Jazz Band. I move at a very quick pace, but I have my students set their own goals. While I will select the literature for the student, I want them to feel successful when they are working with me. I want students to be confident and successful, so I will do anything in my power to help them learn good technique and practice habits.
