- Beginners will start with "Alfred's Basic Guitar Method" (Bass and Ukulele students will use the Alfred's book that applies to their instrument). Once a solid foundation is established, we will branch out into music that the student is interested in playing. - Classical Guitar students will use Charles Duncan's "A Modern Approach to Classical Guitar." - Intermediate and Advanced students will learn what they are interested in - rock/pop/country/etc. - Intermediate and Advanced students will also learn music theory and scales, at least at a basic level. I’ve been a full time teacher and performer for more than two decades; I’ve taught at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music; I was the founder and Executive director of NoteAble, an ensemble-based music program; and I currently teach at Cincinnati's School for the Creative and Performing Arts.
