Part of our final project included giving a sample lesson to a colleague, and I fell in love with helping someone achieve their goal through singing. I have been teaching privately since 2010 and have been consistently been teaching private lessons since. I was a part of a directed teaching program at Cedarville University where my teaching was observed by peers and professors. I spent a year teaching general music to childern in Italy as well as private piano lessons. I also have experience teaching group classes and entering students in recitals and competitions. I attended Wright State University to earn my Master of Music degree in Flute Performance and worked as a graduate teaching assistant during my time there. I graduated from Wright State in 2017. While at ONU, I was a member of the Wind Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra, Marching Band, and Woodwind Ensemble. I was given opportunities to perform in these various ensembles on clarinet, bass clarinet, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, and flute. I served as the principal clarinet of the Wind Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra, Instrumental Music Librarian, Wind Orchestra Ensemble Manager, and Wind Orchestra Assistant Conductor. I use my students' natural strengths to help them understand the aspects of music that come less naturally to them.
