I use many books to start students and usually spend most of the lesson in the Arban's Complete Conservatory Method for Trumpet (Cornet). I like students to study classic trumpet solo's literature. I use the Rubank Method for beginning, intermediate, and advanced clarinet and Saxophone. This series emphasizes the simple concepts to the advanced fundamentals, i.e. rhythm, articulation, breath support, fingerings. The lesson plans are incorporated in the Rubank Method with an easy progression through the fundamental starting with whole notes, half notes, quarter notes and simple to complex rhythms. I'm a passionate instructor that focuses on each individual's goals needed to further their love for music or to be audition ready at all times. I graduated from the University of Louisville with a degree in Music performance, emphasis in voice and have continued my career with music. I believe my students will learn at their highest potential by personalizing each lesson around what they need. For example: if a student is interested in auditioning for College or specific ensembles or groups, I will incorporate the audition requirements into the lesson so they feel adequately prepared when they walk into their audition. I received my Suzuki Teacher Certification for Violin books 1-6 in 2018. I received my Bachelors of Arts in Violin Performance in May of 2016.
