Instruments: Piano Voice
I am a native of Flower Mound, Texas, and I was first introduced to the joy of singing in my church’s children’s chorus at the age of five. I belonged to that chorus until I graduated from Marcus High School in 2013. In addition, I was a member of my school choruses beginning in fifth grade. I was very fortunate to perform at the 2013 ACDA Convention as a member of Marcus High School’s Varsity Treble Choir. Read More

I began teaching practically as soon as I could play, starting when I was 13 years old. Since then, I have taught students on bass guitar, electric guitar, jazz, classical, and a variety of other forms of music. Classical is my area of expertise, which I performed throughout my undergraduate career. However, I have participated in performing bands in genres from rock to folk to reggae, and I am comfortable with almost any style of music. Read More
Instruments: Piano Guitar Voice Drums
When a beginning student pushes a key down on the piano, sound comes out this is unfortunately not true with guitar. In the beginning it can be quite challenging for students to use their left hand to guide the right finger to the right string to the right position on the string while simultaneously using their right hand to guide the pick to the right string and plucking it and this is all for one note! Instruments: Trumpet
Like Most trumpet players, I follow and believe in using essential trumpet books (Arbans, Clarke, Flexus, Schlossberg, etc) and use others that depend on the desires of the musician. For children and/or beginners, I incorporate a little keyboard, to help with some theory basics, since all the notes are laid out. I have always struggled with my musical interests differing from my teachers while growing, so I develop my lessons based on each student, and play music that will both incorporate the teachings of the lesson, and also play music that is enjoyable for them, as well as etudes, or anything they would like to work on. It's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs. Sometime I would bring my soprano or tenor saxophone with me and create music with a student by trying to show him how music works. Read More

I am a professional performer with many years of stage experience. I have taught privately for 14 years. I have also taught classes full of students in ten different grades. I create a fun and comfortable environment for my students and always encourage them to believe in themselves and enjoy their performances. I teach my students how to read music and how to tap beats as well. I also work privately with many students who would like to enter competitions and/ or auditions. Read More

When teaching younger students, I prioritize developing a passion for music through engaging repertoire and positive encouragement, while instilling proper technique and organized practice with weekly progressive assignments. I also establish practice expectations and share progress with parents. In every lesson I demonstrate concepts by performing various woodwinds and piano, and by singing. Advanced students work towards external goals established in consultation with both students and parents like school concerts, honor band/orchestra auditions, or college applications, encouraging students to grow their musical community outside of the lesson studio.
