These exercises help to strengthen students middle voices, extend their ranges, increase their agility, and increase their stamina. I combine these exercises with carefully assigned repertoire to promote growth and functional freedom. I love to have my students sing in many different genres because our voices are muscles, and I believe that they should be cross-trained so one can be as versatile and flexible as possible. I have taught students ranging from 4 to 35 in piano, guitar, voice, music history, and music theory. By getting to know each student's music tastes, I can create a lesson plan that makes practice seem less like a chore and more like something they feel inspired to do on my own. I have built a private studio on the foundations of traditional bel canto technique with a strong emphasis on the Italian School.
