Since graduating with my Masters in Cello Performance in 2005 from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, I have been consistently teaching. Most of my teaching for the past 13 years has been going to students' homes. I also encourage the students to participate in yearly recitals and local community engagements throughout the year. This means that, during any given lesson, listening to a song, playing a song, tapping out rhythms, practicing scales, learning about jazz voicings, or speaking about the role that the piano plays in a rhythm section might be most relevant at any given moment. I've learned through experience that being too strict can contribute to a student loosing interest in practicing, so my teaching style is in the sweet spot. I push my students to always improve but I still remain patient and adaptable to different student situations. I'm always supportive and excited for my students as they grow and find their own performances and build a strong repertoire. A students happiness and success is most important to me so I'll always be a friend and make sure they're doing alright so that they can overcome obstacles and so that we can work around problems together! For beginning students who are children, I start with the book "Learn to play piano" for piano students and for guitar "Learn to play guitar." It is a basic book with specific essential elements for reading and understanding music. As the student progresses I use to introduce songs for their repertoire applying what they leaned in the book. In the past 6 years I have been teaching groups and privately voice lessons and music theory (topics such as ear traning, solfege, harmony and improvisation). I have experience teaching all levels and ages around Israel, Dublin and the USA - teaching in Hebrew and/or English.
