I love seeing my students become as passionate about music as I am! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. It's important for each student to have just the right amount of material to work on each week, so that they are progressing without feeling overwhelmed. I also make sure to acknowledge the work that might students put in, and encourage them to feel proud of what they accomplish. Read More

I have been playing violin for about fourteen years and want to share my knowledge to new students. I am a multi-instrumentalist that enjoys playing different styles of music and am passionate about music theory. I have a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from California State University San Bernardino, as well as a Master of Music in Violin Performance from California Baptist University. I have been able to perform with various groups and orchestras including the San Bernardino Symphony Orchestra, as well as the Corona Symphony Orchestra. Read More
Instruments: Trombone
I work primarily with young students, we start with Book 1 of Accent on Achievement. Trombone fundamentals take a lot of time given that students must build actual muscle strength in addition to learning to read music and understanding the instrument. After a student has hit a sufficient range, we move onto the Rochut etude books. Read More

My goal for every student especially the beginners is to make them play like a pro as soon as possible with emphasis on playing music by ear. My way of teaching is kind of unconventional because based on my experience, it took me a long time before I was able to play any song that I like since reading notes would require unwavering attention and huge effort depending on student’s skills to be able to play it perfectly. Instruments: Piano Voice
I am an introvert and sometimes need to work on my art with a teacher one-on-one instead or in a classroom setting. This is the kind of space I provide for my students. I don't want them to feel intimidated, shy or under any pressure. I want them to feel as though they can have fun while simultaneous working on their craft. For beginning piano students who are children, I typically start with scales and Hal Leonard's My First Piano and for older students, Alfred's Basic Adult Piano Course. Read More

I have been teaching since I was 12. My parents' friends would ask me to teach them guitar! My degrees are in Theater, Music and English, and my Master's in Education from Harvard University taught me that everyone learns differently. I had the opportunity to study with Professor Howard Gardner, who developed the theory of Multiple Intelligences. Some of us learn visually. Others are far more tactile. And then there are students who hear and play by ear. Read More
