My methods vary between each student. For beginning students, that are not learning in a school setting, I typlically start with Hal Lenard's Essential Elements For Band. Once the student had progressed, I will start to introduce solo repetoire that the student will be instested in, which could be pop tunes or other type of music. My teaching experience date back to my high school days. Because I was so advanced in school I was tasked with mentoring my fellow classmates. I like to encourage students to learn multiple genres. As a saxophonist their is no box. In 2012 I graduated high school and went on to Bowie State University. I’ve been trained in classsical , Jazz and blues.
