Instruments: Double Bass Music
I began teaching in college 6 years ago and have helped students successfully prepare for and win ensemble auditions at the college level. For the double bass, perhaps the most athletic instrument, I know it is imperative to focus on proper posture and technique to avoid injury. This bodily awareness (rooted in years of yoga practice) is a central part of my teaching philosophy. As a composer, I encourage my students to pursue their passions by creating works for the bass that draws on what we have been learning in the studio and practicing at home. Read More
Instruments: Drums
I love to teach. The feeling of helping someone acheive a goal, whether it be playing for fun, or reaching for the stars is an exhilarating feeling. I've been teaching on and off since I was about 21 years old. Read More
Instruments: Piano Voice
I began teaching private lessons four years ago in various genres such as jazz, pop, musical theater, and classical - with a bit of music theory for those who have expressed interest. Students of mine have participated in recitals and have written their own compositions. On top of private lessons, I was a Choral Music Instructor for the Massachusetts city, Chelsea, and its Community Youth Chorus. I also taught a voice class for the city of Chelsea that explored, group singing, music theory, breathing, posture, and vocal health. Read More
Instruments: Voice
I began teaching in high school due to me being the student director of the choir and my choir director knowing my background vocally, encouraged me to help some of the incoming students and choir hopefuls. By the end of my junior year of high school, I was giving private lessons 5 times a week and directed some pieces during competitions. While attending college, I was gathered to coach some of the other musical theatre students in music theory and in musical theatre performance. Read More

Instruments: Violin Viola
I am a fun and easy-going instructor and I love working with people. In 2015, I graduated from SUNY Fredonia with a Bachelor of Music degree in Viola Performances. Asides from viola, I also play piano and drums at local churches. I currently teach at Edward R. Murrow High School, so I commute between Brooklyn and Queens and am willing to teach in both areas. Viola and violin are the best instruments I can teach (up to advanced), with cello and bass at a beginner/intermediate level. Read More
