I moved to NYC in 2009 and have performed with artists such as Roy Hargrove, Kim Burrell, Geri Allen and Wallace Toney. I taught at the community outreach program at Rutgers State University and have been a teacher with Musika for 10 years. I also play music with my own project Wave Magnetik where I produce music using Ableton and perform by DJing while playing trumpet and singing. Read More

As someone with diverse training with multiple instruments and styles, I am very determined to teaching my students and having them become the best they can be at their instrument. I am firm, but patient and understand that practicing the right way is more important than practicing frequently. I also worked part-time as a music theory and keyboard tutor at a Community College. I met weekly with students who were struggling with these subjects. It was a great a experience and I also got to work on brushing up my theory. Read More

My number one goal is to meet the student where they are at!--and we go on up from there. I like to develop a relationship with my students in which there is a shared responsibility. On my part, I will provide the necessary resources and guidance that will help them achieve their musical goals. Their part only requires a simple curiosity and willingness to learn something new along with a focused work ethic to put their newfound skills into practice! Read More
