Part of our final project included giving a sample lesson to a colleague, and I fell in love with helping someone achieve their goal through singing. Mistakes are how every singer improves! With older students, I want to help students learn to recognize their own mistakes and areas they can improve on. I will always be ready to help them on trouble areas or encourage them when they get it right, but I want them to learn how to recognize it on their own so they can develop outside of a lesson! I teach violin under the traditional method. If the student is a beginner and a younger child, I use the Suzuki method as well, although I am not officially trained. I began giving private guitar lessons 5 years ago, in 2018. Since then I have taught both privately and at music studios. Classical guitar is my expertise, I earned both a Masters and Bachelors degree in Classical Guitar Performance at the University of Cincinnati, where I served as a Teacher's Assistant and taught multiple guitar courses. Ping is a violist living and performing in Cincinnati, OH. She began her career in Taiwan as a member of a string quartet, choir and orchestra. She was a prize winner on a local radio competition as a string quartet member and performed frequently at National Concert Halls.
