Instruments: Voice
Voice progress is very personal to each student. Not only is every voice unique, but so are the student's goals. Singing needs to be fun and inspirational- or you won't keep up with it. The skills you will learn in my studio will help you get into college, find a job (with better interviewing skills), and express yourself. These are tools that you will take with you for the rest of your life. Read More

Its very important to me that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I want all of my students to be successful and develop a passion for music! I always want my students to feel comfortable so I play along with my students to help build confidence. I always acknowledge the hard work they are doing and set realistic expectations for practice and performance! The more motivated and inspired my students are the more they will want to practice! I began as a formal teacher during my senior year at The University of New Haven, teaching private instrumental lessons as well as tutoring existing students in theory and other music classes. I have taught students as young as 5 years old as well as adults much older than myself with incredible results. My primary instruments are guitar and drums/percussion. I have also taught numerous piano and bass guitar students all whom have recieved a great start to their musical journey. Read More

My first student (back in 2004 ) was a friend and we started lessons....for fun! This fun became a way of living and one of the things that i really love to do. In 2005-2006 i started giving private lessons at first in teenagers or people around 20-25 years old. That was easy because most of the people over 20's the know what they want.So i wanted to try with much younger and much older....and i thing it went pretty much well! Read More

From an early age I made the decision to dedicate myself to the arts. Teaching music has been a reward for me. A teacher is considered a role model. By being a role model, I hope to inspire my students to want to learn more. I want to provide my students with knowledge to reach their full potential. I want to show them the tools they need to succeed. I hope years after they have left my lessons they remember how curious and engaged they felt. Read More
Instruments: Trumpet
How I teach is directly linked to how I play, with passion and energy. I prefer to show, verse explain. It has been my experience, both teaching and learning, that it is easier to get results from the student by showing them the tone you want them to produce or the articulation you desire ect. This is why I only teach Trumpet, if I can't show you how, then I am not being true to the student. Read More
Instruments: Drums Latin Percussion Djembe
My approach to teaching is to make it a fun and positive learning experience that they look forward to and stay inspired. Patience, encouragement and understanding of where the student is musically are crucial. I like to emphasize the idea that nothing happens overnight, only through effective practice and repetition. Having this mindset, they will no doubt see results in no time. I always like to establish a goal for each lesson, suggest cool drum videos on Youtube and make sure the student feels like they are free to ask a lot of questions if they aren't understanding something.
