Its very important to me that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I want all of my students to be successful and develop a passion for music! I always want my students to feel comfortable so I play along with my students to help build confidence. I always acknowledge the hard work they are doing and set realistic expectations for practice and performance! The more motivated and inspired my students are the more they will want to practice! Music has been one of my passions since I was a little girl! I took up piano at age 8, violin at 13, and drums at 15. I've been known to belt out a tune here and there, too! There is nothing better than having an afternoon to lose yourself to creating and playing music. In high school, I was Concert Master of the Philharmonic Orchestra. I've had the opportunity to perform on the drums at various venues and was invited by my drum instructor to return to the studio to become an instructor myself, where I taught for three years. My goal is for the student to feel as quickly as possible that he or she is really playing! I am very encouraging about accomplishments, as well as explaining clearly the particular elements that the student needs to work on to improve. Read More

I've been teaching in a number of different situations for about 4 years now. I first began teaching in 2010 when I worked at the Magik Children's Theater in San Antonio as an instructor for a School of Rock class there. In this class, I taught beginning students on guitar, bass, keys, and drums how to play popular rock songs. I worked at the Magik Children's Theater for 2 years before moving to California where I worked as a Teaching Assistant and a full time instructor for a number of theory/musicianship classes at the California Institute of the Arts.
