My teaching experience began while helping at the New Orleans String Project when my sisters were learning Viola. In my off time, I would assist the teachers. Later I began giving lessons through some members fo the Greater New Orleans Youth Orchestra to which I have played and excelled through all of the group's sinfonia, Philharmonia, and Symphony. I've been teaching guitar and general music lessons since high school, where I would assist the music teacher in guitar and theory classes because of my advanced skill level. During my undergraduate studies in college, I put myself through school teaching private lessons in my home and at various music stores, churches, and performing arts schools, teaching around 200 students in 5 years. When I went back to school to get my masters degree, I was awarded an assistantship and taught music theory, music appreciation, jazz ensembles, and jazz improvisiation at the university, in addition to keeping a robust private guitar studio on the side. A singer/songwriter from New York, I graduated from Vassar College in 2020 with a degree in music, and moved to New Orleans to pursue a career in music education.
