At the very beginning level I would start with fundamentals from whatever book I feel would be best for the student depending on their age and knowledge. Beforehand I definitely will need to asses their knowledge so I can do so accordingly. I however will now focus on solely fundamentals and will try to include in songs that the student would like to learn as long as it is in the bounds of reality, the lessons I provide are only part of the equation and the real work is what is put in after the lesson. I can teach the fundamentals of bass playing and advanced technique, music theory, improvisation, sight reading, and music history. You will learn not only how to play the instrument proficiently, you will learn how the bass functions musically in a group as well. I establish the student's level, find out what their goals are and then start learning music. I watch their technique and listen to their sound and guide them as we go. Read More

I have performed and studied in multiple cities and institutions in Florida and Boston, and am currently enrolled in multiple performing ensembles at my university in classical and jazz music. I began my musical journey at 5 years of age with the piano, and since then I have picked up a few brass instruments and classical/jazz singing. It with great desire that I seek to share my knowledge with others as I continue to grow and learn new things about myself and my field. Read More

I opened my clarinet studio while in college. Over the next decade, my studio grew to over 40 students. It was a diverse studio with clarinetists of all levels and ages! I am excited to be teaching privately, and building my studio again, here in Florida! Lessons with me will be a good mix of work and fun. Proper preparation (regular practice) is encouraged, as well as student input. What a student WANTS to learn is just as important as what a student NEEDS to learn. Read More

I've had quite extensive experiences in teaching. Teaching and tutoring began during my high school days. I would help out after classes or teach piano on the side. Coming up will be my 6th year in teaching piano. I've also tutored my peers all throughout college in music theory, musicianship, and ear/aural training. I've interned at an elementary school for a semester teaching general music. I was even able to get the opportunity to go to Japan for three months and teach English and translate for the United States Navy. Read More
Instruments: Voice
I believe strongly in cross training and giving my students the tools and resources needed to practice on their own and assess their own voice in order to improve more efficiently and quickly. My main goal as a teacher is to help my students sing in whatever genre they are interested in with their true, natural voice in a healthy way that allows longevity. Once a student truly understands their voice, that confidence will take them to the next level, whatever that may be! Read More

I really don't follow a specific book or tool. As I wrote before, every person is different and I always try to empathize with my students. With the Internet, the tools are almost infinite. I focus on breathing and comfort singing. I use different warming up exercises for every person, depending on their needs. I am always excited when one of my student make progress, wheter is big or small. Read More
