I'm a passionate instructor and I love teaching music in every one of his aspects. In 2011 I graduated from Music Conservatory "Luca Marenzio" with a Degree Classical Saxophone Performance. In Europe I had the opportunity of playing as a Alto Saxophone Soloist in the European Youth Orchestra in Germany and Turkey. In 2014 I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Diploma in Jazz Composition. I hold various Principal 'cello positions, co-founded the Polish Music Reference Center at USC with Wanda Wilk, in the 1980's; co-founded Symphony 47 with Floyd Clark and had my New American Quartet for over 18 years, which also toured England, in 1997. I performed many overseas concerts; was Yo Yo Ma's pre-concert lecturer at the Wadsworth in 1994; coached Samuel L. Jackson for his movie role as a 'cello playing cop in 2000, and performed with Herbie Hancock in a World Peace concert in 2008, with my quartet. Read More

Maya studied upright bass performance at Berklee College of Music, where she earned a Berklee Merit Scholarship and the Bass Department Outstanding Performer Award and Scholarship. She played with the Berklee Contemporary Symphony Orchestra, with a highlight performance of Lord of the Rings Symphony at Bostons Symphony Hall. She tours nationally with Boston-based bummer pop band Future Teens. The group has been featured on NPRs All Songs Considered and in The Boston Globe, and was awarded Boston Music Awards Alt/Indie Artist of the Year 2019. Read More

With students that are full beginners, I like to start them out with some reading to show them how time is divided and how to identify notes on the staff. I've found that finding notes on the staff helps them learn the notes on the fretboard faster and easier. I use a book called Guitar Method Book 1 by Hal Leonard. I've been playing the clarinet for over 20 plus years from middle school through college. I've performed in various concert bands, jazz bands, pep bands and chamber groups while in school. In addition to the clarinet, I can also play the saxophone as well. Groups that I played for includes the Palos Verdes Symphonic Band. I studied the clarinet at El Camino College and was a student of James E. Mack prinicple clarinetist from the Carson Dominguez Hills Symphony and also Studied Clarinet at California State University Long Beach under woodwind specialist Joe Stone from the Long Beach Symphony.
