Having grown up in a large family, I love working with children and relate well to all ages. I started tutoring students on the flute at a very young age and have done it off and on since then. I like to play with students and encourage performances and help with competitions. When I was in school, I competed in solo and ensemble competitions and also performed in All-State Band and other honor bands. At more advanced levels, I encourage my students to work with a program called SmartMusic. SmartMusic has a vast collection of music with accompaniment and other practicing activites.
