I have been a working music teacher and professional musician since 2003. My work has taken me all over the world, from exotic, global itineraries on board 5-star cruise ships, to the some of the top music venues in New York City, as well as the homes and classrooms of many satisfied students. I graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music, with a B.M. in Jazz Performance (saxophone). I also hold a Certificate of Eligibility in K-12 Music from the New Jersey Department of Education, as well as a Substitute Teaching Certificate (specializing in music) for Sussex County school districts in New Jersey. I tailor my instruction to the students wants, needs and abilities. It's a creative environment every week and I try to make it fun and rewarding. Learning the basic elements of their chosen instrument is a place to begin. Read More

It is very important for me that students not only take away something from each lesson, but also enjoy coming to lessons. I try to always acknowledge students' improvements and be encouraging. I understanding sometimes lessons can be stressful or not so interesting, so I try different ways to teach and guide my students so the process of learning is enjoyable. I want to keep students interested and inspired, I encourage them to play for themselves and their loved ones, and find pieces they like to bring to lessons. Read More

I use the Rubank method of books as a traditonal conservatory approach to early progression. I find their systematic flow efficient and effective to consistent improvement. We would then move to fulfilling repertoire that would qualify the student for collegiate study and competitive performance. For those interested in jazz, pop, and rock, we would proceed to study several instruction books and recorded material that over the years I have found to successfully progress a student in those genres.
