I continued my flute studio and became a band director in 2000 and taught band in North and South Carolina until 2014. I worked on my masters degree in music eduation from the University of North Carolia at Pembroke and received 18 hours graduate credit. As the student progresses, he/she will be introduced to solo repertoire as well advance method books for recital and competitive purposes. I find that music of any genre is much easier to study if you have an understanding of the framework of what you practice.
