After furthering my studies in percussion performance at Berklee College of Music in Boston, I founded progressive jazz quartet Schleigho, hit the road in 1991 and toured nationally until 2004 , releasing 5 CD's and playing over 3000 shows with the likes of jazz great John Scofield, funk legend Maceo Parker and rock icons The Allman Bothers Band, who signed them in 1998 to their record label, Flying Frog Records. Upon graduating from Skidmore College in 2000, I was accepted to Florida State University to the classical guitar program under the study of Bruce Holzman. I feel my decision to simultaneously work towards two masters degrees speaks clearly for my motivation and passion towards music. I have taught students from ages 6 to 60. my approach is to help each student with the proper grip and posture and to learn to adjust there instrument for maximum comfort. I begin each lesson with rudiments/rolls and spend equal time on basic music theory(beginner) and sight reading(advanced), 4-way coordination(beginner) and transcribing recorded music(advanced).
