I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. I graduated in 1994 from New York University with a Bachelor of Music degree from the School of Education - Department of Music and Performing Arts Professions. I have had the privilege of working extensively in the music business as an assistant recording engineer with many household name performers. I tailor each lesson to the student’s needs and desires. I encourage all of them to develop reading, listening, coordination, and concentrating skills. I help each student to have the ability to play many different music styles and improvise in those styles. We work with developing the ear in order to play along with recorded music and teach them how to transcribe the songs so that they can document it for future use. Read More

I am passionate about sharing my gift love of music with students of all ages, especially school aged children. Currently I teach privately as well as volunteer with an afterschool program. I am also the musical director of my band. We perform corporate events and also have toured with RB and Pop artists such as Hi-Five, Robbie Nova, and Esnavi to name a few. As their instructor, I assist students in creating said goals, but most importantly, I try to tailor my lessons in a way that helps my students remain inspired while promoting their own growth and fulfillment of their goals. Because every student has his/her own learning style, my lessons cater to those styles. I figure out a student's strengths and weaknesses. I acknowledge the accomplishments caused by the strengths while I focus on developing the weaknesses. For example, if a student excels melodically but has trouble maintaining accurate rhythm, I will engage the student in listening to and playing many interesting melodies that require him/her to pay close attention to counting the rhythms in order to master playing the melodies. When I first subbed in as a teacher, I knew teaching music was for me. I am a multi-instrumentalist,performer,songwriter,producer,as well as being an instructor of music.
